Anna Nambooze is a dynamic leader and international trade/development expert. Currently Anna serves as Country Director for Uganda and South Sudan at TradeMark Africa where she oversees TradeMark Africa’s trade facilitation initiatives, including those related to infrastructure, the agro-industry, standards, private sector engagement, business competitiveness, offering digital solutions, green trade, policy development, and Regional Economic Communities (REC)-level harmonisation.
She is a legal professional with 20 year’s experience and expertise in policy and regulatory reforms in the commercial, trade and information communication technologies (ICT) sectors, legal and advisory services. Anna previously worked with the National Information Technology Authority of Uganda – NITA-U as a Legal Expert for the Regional Communication Infrastructure Project- Phase 5 (RCIP), a World Bank-financed project.
Anna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from Makerere University, Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The Law Development Centre, and Master of Laws (LL.M) in International and Comparative Law from The George Washington University Law School.
